Indian Army has released a notification for the recruitment of 379 candidates for the SSC course. The registration will end on August 14, 2024.
Indian Army has started the registration process for the Short Service Commission course for 379 vacancies at joinindianarmy.nic.in. All the eligible candidates can submit their application forms on the official website. Unmarried males, females and widows of Indian Armed Forces Defence Personnel can apply for the recruitment. The registration process for the SSC course already started on July 16, 2024, and will conclude on August 14, 2024.
The SSC course will happen at the Pre-Commissioning Training Academy (PCTA) in April 2025.

- SSC(Tech) – 64 Men: 350 vacancies
- SSC(Tech) – 64 Women: 29 vacancies
Education Qualification
Candidates who want to apply should have passed the requisite Engineering Degree course or are in the final year of the Engineering Degree course. Candidates studying in the final year should be able to submit proof of passing the Engineering degree along with all semester results by April 1, 2025. Candidates need to submit all the Engineering Degree Certificates within 12 weeks from the date of commencement of training at the Pre-Commissioning Training Academy (PCTA).
Education Qualification Needed for the Widows of Indian Armed Forces Defence Personnel
- SSCW (Non Tech) (Non UPSC). – Graduation in any Discipline
- SSCW (Tech). – Engineering Degree (B.E. / B. Tech in any stream)
Age Limit
The minimum age to apply is 20 years and the maximum is 27 years as of April 1, 2025. It means candidates born between 2nd April 1998 and 1st April 2025 can apply for the vacancy.

Selection Process
The organization will shortlist the candidates based on the cut-off marks for each Engineering discipline/stream. The candidates will be intimated by email about the allotment of the selection centre and then they have to select dates for SSB. Candidates will appear for the two-stage selection procedure. Those who clear stage-1 will face stage-2.
