The National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT) is set up to assist and advise the central and state governments on various programs for qualitative improvement in school education.
The National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT) is an organization of the Government of India. NCERT was established in 1961 under the Societies Registration Act. The headquarters of NCERT is located at Sri Aurobindo Marg in New Delhi.
The major objectives of NCERT are to research various areas of school education, including providing study materials, preparing and publishing textbooks, developing educational kits, designing multimedia digital materials, training teachers, developing innovative educational techniques and practices, collaborating with state boards, universities, NGO’s, & other educational institutions.
