RRB ALP Recruitment 2024: The RRB recruitment drive has increased the number of vacancies to 18799, which is three times the previous 5696 vacancies. Read details here.

RRB ALP Recruitment 2024: The Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) announced the increased number of vacancies for the ongoing recruitment of Assistant Loco Pilots (ALP) posts. Earlier the recruitment drive announced vacancies of 5696 by the board has been increased by more than three times. Now, the recruitment drive has increased the number of vacancies to 18799 posts. The official notice about the increase in vacancies was declared on the official website of RRB Chandigarh at rrbcdg.gov.in.

The Official Notice stated “Railway Recruitment Board has published CEN 01/2024 for the recruitment of Assistant Loco Pilo (ALP) with 5696 vacancies all over the Indian Railways. A review has been undertaken in view of additional demand received from Zonal Railways and vacancies of Assistant Loco Pilot (ALP) stands enhanced to 18799. Necessary notice indicating RRB and community-wise breakup of vacancies shall be displayed on the website subsequently. Opportunities will also be given to existing candidates to revise their choice of RRB once details are published. Candidates should keep visiting the website for further notices in this regard.”

RRB ALP Recruitment 2024: Railway has informed that candidates who already applied for the vacancies will get the opportunity to revise as per their choice. For further details, candidates are advised to regularly visit their respective RRBs.

The Railway Board has ordered General managers of the Zonal Railways to complete the recruitment within a week. The recruitment will bring relief for the drivers doing overduty. Also, train accidents that occur due to human error will reduced.

As per the previous notice, the selection of the candidates will be done through 5 stages of tests. The first two stages of selection will happen through Computer Based Tests – CBT 1 and CBT 2. Then, the third stage of selection will be a Computer Based Aptitude Test (CBAT) followed by Document Verification (DV) and Medical Examination (ME).
