CBSE Board Exam 2024 will begin on February 15. There will be more competency-based questions in the new exam pattern. The new pattern will reduce the extra burden on students.
The new CBSE exam pattern will be designed as per the New Education Policy 2020 (NEP), and it is expected that the new pattern will bring relief to students by reducing extra burden.
The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has already made some major changes in the exam pattern and marking scheme of the Class 10 and Class 12 board exams, and it will be a big relief for students.
CBSE Board Exam 2024 will start on February 15. All the students are requested to check the sample papers of Class 10 and 12 from the official website of CBSE at www.cbse.gov.in.
Students can check the sample papers from the official website to understand the exam pattern and marking scheme. In the upcoming CBSE Board exam 2024, competency-based questions will be increased for both Classes 10 and 12.
Class 10 will have 50% competency / case-based questions, 20% of response-type questions, 20% MCQ choice-type questions, and 30% constructed response questions (short answer/long answer type questions).
Class 12 will have 40% competency / case-based questions, 20% response type questions, 20% MCQ choice type questions, and 40% constructed response questions (short answer/long answer type questions).
All the students appearing for the CBSE Board exam 2024 will have to attend the pre-board exam first. In the CBSE Board exam 2024, the no. of Ability-based questions will increase.
There will be 50% ability-based questions for Class 10 and 40% ability-based questions for Class 12.
There will be 15 – 35 questions students will have to answer in three hours.
